Description

The Lidgett House is a vicarage built in the 1830s, possibly designed by George Webster. It is constructed from punched sandstone blocks and features a hipped slate roof. The building has two storeys and three bays, adorned with a cornice and corner pilasters. The windows are sashed with glazing bars and plain stone surrounds, with the ground floor windows also having aprons and cornices. Only the central window on the first floor includes a cornice.

At the front, there is a central single-storey porch supported by Doric pilasters, each having a narrow plain sinking and a cornice. The inner door is framed by a plain stone surround and features a fanlight beneath a segmental arch. To the east, there is a lower wing that includes a cornice and pilaster, with a modern garage on the ground floor and a sashed window above, also with glazing bars and a plain stone surround.

Chimneys are located to the left of the central bay of the main house and are set back behind the ridge to the right. The west wall consists of two bays with sashed windows that have glazing bars and plain stone surrounds. The south wall also has two bays with similar windows and features a central stair window, which has a plain stone surround, a semi-circular head with a keystone, and glazing bars.
