Description
Lower Hollinhead Farmhouse, built in 1714, is a two-storey house made from sandstone rubble and topped with a stone slate roof. The building has a symmetrical design featuring three bays and a string course above the ground floor. The windows are adorned with architraves and square mullions, consisting of three lights, except for the central window on the first floor, which has two lights. The central door has a shouldered architrave, and above it is an oval plaque with carved decoration inscribed with the letter "G." The left gable features coping with kneelers and is marked with 'I I 1714.' There are chimneys at both ends of the house. Adjoining the farmhouse to the northwest is a barn, likely built in the late 18th century, constructed from watershot sandstone and also covered with a stone slate roof. The barn has a wide entrance with a segmental arched head and a door on the right with a chamfered surround.
