Description
Hill Foot Cottages is a row of three houses built in the late 18th century. The cottages are constructed from rubble and topped with a stone slate roof. Each house has one bay, and the facade features projecting quoins and sill bands. The windows are tripartite and stepped, with plain stone surrounds and square mullions. For the two left houses, the inner light of each window is sashed with glazing bars, while the outer lights are fixed with glazing bars. The left-hand house has its door on the right side, while the other two houses have paired doors. Each door is framed with a plain stone surround and topped with an open moulded pediment supported by shaped brackets. The gables are finished with copings and kneelers, and there are chimneys located on the gables and to the right of the left-hand house.
