Description

77-81 Oxford Street is a row of three houses built in the late 18th century. The houses are constructed from coursed limestone rubble and have a colourwashed front. They feature a gabled artificial slate roof and brick stacks at the ends and on the ridge. The design follows a three-unit plan and stands three storeys tall, with a three-window range. The doors, which are half-glazed and have beaded paneling, date from the 19th century and are topped with timber lintels. The windows are mainly mid to late 19th century and 20th century two-light casements, also with timber lintels. Inside, number 81 includes chamfered beams and a quarter-turn staircase with winders.
