Description
Hill House is a house dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It features a limestone ashlar front, with brick side walls and stone rubble walls at the rear. The house has brick end stacks and a double-depth plan. It stands three storeys high and has a two-window range. Steps lead up to a doorway on the left, which has a stone lintel over a 20th-century panelled door with an overlight and a flat hood. There are stone lintels above the six-pane sash windows and a smaller sash window on the second floor. To the right, there is a canted three-storey bay window with similar sashes. The building also has raised storey bands, a fire insurance plaque, and a moulded cornice at the parapet. The interior has not been inspected.
