Description
Clough Head is a house built in 1702, which has been altered over time. It is constructed of sandstone rubble and has a stone slate roof, standing two storeys tall. The north wall features a two-storey gabled porch. To the right of the porch is a double-chamfered mullioned window with two lights, while the first floor has no openings. The left side of the wall is blank, but there is a two-light window with a plain stone surround and square mullion on each floor further to the left. Above a door with plain reveals, there is a similar window that appears to be a modern imitation. The first floor of the porch has a double-chamfered mullioned window with three stepped lights. The door itself has a chamfered surround and a shaped lintel inscribed with 'WB 1702'. A chimney is located to the left of the porch. The south facade consists of two bays with windows that have plain stone surrounds and square mullions. The right windows have three lights, while the left has four lights with a central king mullion. To the right, there is a third bay with similar window details, which seems to be a modern conversion of farm buildings.
