Description
Probably dating to the 18th century, this building consists of numbers 14 and 16 Duck Street, and the premises occupied by Ceramica Italia Ltd. It is constructed of coursed stone with a gable end facing the road, and features rusticated quoins. The front facade is roughcast. The building has two windows on each floor. The windows retain hung sashes with glazing bars in their stone surrounds, except for those in number 16. A rendered plinth is visible. A stone surround frames the modern door to number 14, while number 16 has a plain door. The extension to the east, occupied by Ceramica Italia Ltd, is of the same height and has one window and a modern door, with wood lintels above. The rear elevation includes five first-floor windows with stone surrounds, and a former coachhouse with modern windows. Numbers 2 to 12 (even), numbers 14 and 16, and the Ceramica Italia premises form a group with numbers 26 to 32 (even).
