Description

Nos. 2 and 4 Duck Street are two buildings with origins in the 18th century. They are constructed of coursed stone with a blocking course at both floor levels. Rusticated quoins are present. The roofs are slate, with a hipped roof to the right-hand side. There are six windows, each with stone surrounds. The windows above are of 3 lights, with the flanking lights narrower, and one window is single-light. A pedimented doorway is situated at No. 4, featuring stone pilasters. No. 2 has a modern shop front with two lights, while No. 4 has a 19th-century door in a stone surround, complete with a rectangular fanlight. Nos. 2 to 12 (even), Nos. 14 and 16, and the premises occupied by Ceramica Italia Ltd form a group with Nos. 26 to 32 (even).
