Description

Nos. 12 and 13 on Castlegate are 18th-century buildings constructed from coursed rubble. No. 12 features a slate roof and has three windows, one of which is modern, while the others have flat wood lintels and glazing bars. The ground floor has modern shop windows. No. 13 has a modern door but retains its original two steps, architrave, and wood lintel. There is a rendered plinth and a passage door leading to No. 14a. No. 13 has been re-roofed and includes a modern dormer. These buildings are part of a group that includes Nos. 3 to 8 and Nos. 10 onward.
