Description

Nos. 25 and 26, Castlegate are a late 18th-century building of three storeys, constructed of brick and topped with a pantile roof. Each property features three windows. No. 26 retains its original glazing bars, while No. 25 has later sash windows. A continuous band runs between the floors, incorporating the sills of the second-floor windows. A small wooden cornice is found at the eaves. The doorways are plain and roundheaded, each with a fanlight above. Nos. 25 to 32 form a notable group.
