Description

Nos. 15 and 16 Castlegate are late 18th century cottages built of brick with a pantile roof and three stories. The façade features four windows, some of which are alternately blocked, with brick segmental arches, flush frames, and glazing bars. There are round-headed doorways that include fanlights, and a small wooden eaves cornice is present. A scraper is also noted. These cottages are part of a group that includes Nos. 3 to 8 and Nos. 10 to 16 on the same street.
