Description
This barn, located approximately 75 metres north of New Hall Farmhouse, dates back to around 1700. It is constructed of handmade brick, featuring a sandstone plinth and quoins, and has a stone slate roof. The barn has a rectangular plan with five bays. There are opposed wagon entrances in the centre, although the entrance on the west side is blocked and the other has been altered. The structure includes slit breathers at three levels. The north gable is adorned with coping, kneelers, and ball finials, though the balls are missing from the apex and one side. Inside, there are four collar trusses, with all the tie beams made from reused cruck blades.
