4/11 Barn c.30 metres east of Moon's Farmhouse

Barn, probably later C17. Handmade brick, with some sandstone blocks (rear outshut and lower part of front wall), steeply-pitched corrugated sheet roof. Four bays, the 4th a lofted shippon which projects. Diamond-pattern breathers on 2 levels and in right gable; full-height wooden wagon doors to 3rd bay, doorway at left end with large stone lintel; right gable wall has 3 doorways, the outer 2, with stone lintels, both altered as windows, the centre with a wooden lintel. Interior: brick partition to shippon carrying collar truss with curved principals of small scantling.
