Description

Hepgreave Bridge, also known as Bridge Number 39, is a bridge over the Lancaster Canal, built around 1797 by engineer John Rennie. It is constructed from large sandstone blocks and features an elliptical arch supported by triple keystones. The bridge has decorative bands and parapets with rounded coping, as well as pilastered ends.
