Description

The War Memorial in Morecambe was completed in 1921 and designed by T H Mawson. It is made of granite and bronze and has a rectangular shape with battered sides. Atop the memorial sits a bronze lion, and the stepped base features inscriptions of the names of those who fell in service. Additional inscriptions commemorating the dead of the Second World War have been added to the north side.
