Description

Milestone located in Burrow-with-Burrow, dating from the mid-19th century, made of sandstone. It has a triangular shape with a sloping top. The top is inscribed with the word 'BURROW.' The left side has the inscriptions: 'TO LANCASTER 15 MILES. HORNBY 6 MILES.' The right side features the inscriptions: 'TO KIRKBY LONSDALE 1½ MILES. SEDBERGH 11½ MILES.'
