Description

The summer house, now functioning as a conservatory, dates from the mid 18th century and is located north-east of Burrow Hall. It is constructed from sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings and features a glazed roof. The building has an octagonal plan, showcasing alternate rustication and a projecting band beneath a moulded cornice. On the three sides facing south, there are openings with glazed doors, framed by pilasters and keyed round heads. Some of the other walls have blocked openings that reuse 17th-century dressings.
