Description

This is a farm building, possibly used as a granary and stables, dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of sandstone rubble and has an asbestos roof. The building is two storeys high. The north wall, which faces the road, is blank, while the south wall features three doorways. The left-hand doorway has plain reveals, while the other two have chamfered surrounds. The right-hand doorway, which has masons' marks, is now partly blocked. On the first floor, there is a one-light chamfered window to the left, and at the far right, a one-light window made from 17th-century fragments. The left-hand (west) gable has a chamfered door surround on the first floor, which is accessed by a flight of external stone steps. The east gable is now partly incorporated into a later barn.
