Description
This farm building, located approximately 150 metres south of the farmhouse in Storth, is possibly an early 18th-century structure that may have originally served as a stable. It is constructed of sandstone rubble and features a slate roof, rising to two storeys.
The east wall includes two doorways; the left-hand doorway has long-and-short jambs, while the right-hand doorway has a chamfered surround. Between these doorways is a former doorway, now converted into a window, which also has chamfered jambs. Above each of the current doorways are circular pitching holes with stone surrounds. A central opening has plain reveals, and to its right, there is a chimney cap.
On the north gable wall, there is a window with a rough plain stone surround on the ground floor, along with a circular pitching hole with a stone surround on the first floor. Under the apex of this gable are the entrances to the nest boxes of a dovecote. The west wall is blank.
