Description
Long Stripes Farmhouse is a house that possibly dates from the late 18th century, featuring an earlier 18th-century doorcase. The exterior is finished with scored render and topped with a roof made of slate and stone slate. The building has two storeys and three bays. The windows are six-pane sashes with architraves. The door in the first bay has plain reveals, while the door between the second and third bays boasts a large sandstone doorcase, which is said to have originated from the demolished Storth Hall. This doorcase is adorned with Tuscan pilasters, a broken pediment, and a triglyph frieze with guttae. The metopes of the frieze feature two carved roses and a central stag's head. There are chimneys located to the right of each door.
