Description
Lawnds Farmhouse is an early 19th-century house constructed from squared sandstone and topped with a slate roof. The building features a symmetrical design, consisting of a two-storey, three-bay central block with a hipped roof, flanked by two-storey, one-bay side pavilions. The windows are modern and have plain stone surrounds. The central block showcases chamfered quoins and includes a single-storey porch in the central bay, which has an embattled parapet and round corner turrets. The outer doorway is chamfered and features a Tudor arch, while the inner doorway also has a chamfered surround. Two axial chimneys are positioned along the ridge. Each pavilion displays chamfered quoins and a pedimented gable, and the link walls between the main house and the pavilions each contain a ground-floor window.
