7/97 Lawnds Farmhouse 4-10-1967 II

House, early C19th. Squared sandstone with slate roof. A symmetrical composition comprising a 2-storey 3-bay block with a hipped roof, and side pavilions each of 2 storeys and one bay. The windows are modern with plain stone surrounds. The central block has chamfered quoins and a single- storey porch in the central bay with embattled parapet and round corner turrets. The outer doorway is chamfered with Tudor arch. The inner doorway has a chamfered surround. On the ridge are 2 axial chimneys. Each pavilion has chamfered quoins and pedimented gable. The link walls between main house and pavilions each have a ground-floor window.
