Description

Loyne Bridge is a bridge over the River Lune, possibly dating from the late medieval period. It is constructed from squared sandstone blocks and features three segmental arches that are separated by triangular cutwaters, which include pedestrian refuges. The solid parapet of the bridge has a rounded top. Loyne Bridge is also designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument. Part of the bridge is located in the civil parish of Hornby-with-Farleton.
