Description
This is a pair of gatepiers from the early 18th century, believed to have been moved from The Biggins near Kirkby Lonsdale. They are made of rusticated sandstone ashlar and are square in shape, featuring moulded cornices. Each north face has an Ionic pilaster, with a raised shell carved on the entablature above. These gatepiers are located on the south side of the garden east of Gressingham Hall.
