Description
Low House Farmhouse is a house from the late 17th century that has been altered. It is built of slobbered rubble and has a steep stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and consists of two bays. On the ground floor, to the left, there is a 4-light window with rebated and chamfered mullions. To the right, there is a 6-pane sash window with a rebated and chamfered surround. At the far right, there is a blocked fire window. On the first floor, there are sash windows with glazing bars and plain stone surrounds. The door, located between the bays and covered by a 20th-century porch, features a surround with moulded jambs and a chamfered lintel. To the right of the door is a third cell, which likely served as a service room and has no obvious straight joint. This cell has a window and a door to its left, both with plain reveals. A chimney is situated to the left of the door, while a second chimney on the left gable has weathered offsets. The left gable also features a coping with kneelers. The interior was not accessible at the time of the survey.
