Description

Park Cottage is a house, originally two houses, built in 1842. It is constructed from sandstone rubble and features a hipped slate roof. The building has two storeys and four bays, with chamfered quoins and chamfered cross windows that include margin lights and hoods. The right-hand window on the ground floor is a modern replacement for a door. The remaining door is located in the first bay and is sheltered by a gabled porch made of rusticated ashlar. In the center of the first floor, there is a plaque displaying the shield of arms of Pudsey Dawson and the date '1842'. A chimney is positioned on the center of the ridge. To the right, there is an additional bay that shares similar architectural details, including chamfered quoins and a flat roof. On the left side, there is a single-storey lean-to that has a similar window and chamfered quoins.
