Description
Elton Banks is a house from the early 19th century, constructed of dressed sandstone with coursed rubble on the sides and rear. It features a slate roof with a ridge chimney and gable chimneys. The building has four bays, with the right half being double-pile under a two-span roof. It is two storeys tall and designed in a simple classical style, characterized by a first-floor band and a moulded gutter cornice. The entrance is a round-headed doorway with an open-pedimented Tuscan doorcase. There are two windows to the left of the door, one to the right, and four windows on the first floor, all of which are sash windows. The ground floor windows do not have glazing bars, and some internal shutters are visible. The sides and rear of the house are of less architectural interest.
