Farmhouse, dated 1690 on porch, altered. Sandstone rubble with some quoins, rendered and whitewashed in parts, stone slate roof with gable copings, gable chimneys and a ridge chimney at the junction of the 1st and 2nd bays. Roughly cruciform plan: 3 bays, single depth with projecting porch at junction of 1st and 2nd bays, later extension to rear of 2nd bays with outshut in re-entrant. Two storeys, set below level of later roadway which covers ground floor of 1st bay and porch; 2-storey porch has 1st floor datestone with raised lettering CB 1690, altered window above; 1st floor window to left also altered; to right are 2 horizontal rectangular windows on each floor, all probably formerly mullioned, the lower double-recessed with hoodmoulds; and a plain doorway between these. Right return wall has a 2-light stone mullion window with a hoodmould, otherwise all openings here and at rear are altered. Interior: original beams in situ, otherwise much altered.
