7/208 Crook Farmhouse 2-5-1968 (Formerly listed under General)

GV II

House, late C17th, altered. Pebbledashed rubble with slate roof. 2 storeys. West facade, facing sea, has modern windows with plain reveals. On the ground floor are 5, with 1st floor windows over numbers 2, 4 and 5. Chimney to right of 3rd window and on right-hand gable, the latter with a weathered offset and a cornice. Gables have copings with kneelers. At the rear is a later wing at right angles. To the left of it, in the rear wall of the main house, is a door cut into a window surround with the remains of 2 trefoiled heads to lights. To the right of the wing is a modern window within a surround with similar head. Interior. Middle room has 2 chamfered axial main joists. The southern room has 2 similar joists and a chamfered and stopped firehood bressumer. A small spice cupboard has a door of C17th type. On the 1st floor is a door of C17th type, but constructed in pine.
