Description

The wharf in front of the First Terrace at Overton Sunderland Point dates from the mid-18th century. It consists of a sandstone rubble wall that features a flight of stone steps. The wall is topped with 15 octagonal stone posts, although the southernmost post is now broken. At the southern end of the wharf, there is a gate pier made of rusticated sandstone, which has a square plan, a moulded cornice, and a ball finial.
