Description

This milestone, located about 20 metres south of Six Mile Bridge, is likely from the 19th century. It stands beside the canal towpath and is approximately 1 metre high. The milestone features an oval plaque on each side, with the inscription "PRESTON 6" on the south side and "GARSTANG 11" on the north side.
