Description

New Bridge is an accommodation bridge over the Lancaster Canal, likely built in the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed from sandstone blocks and features an elliptical arch with rock-faced quoins and a single slim keystone. The bridge has decorative bands and rock-faced parapets with rounded coping, as well as pilastered ends.
