Description
This is a house located at 15 West Beach in Lytham St Annes, built around 1850-1860 and altered since. It features red brick in Flemish bond with sandstone dressings and a roof made of hexagonal slates. The building has an L-shaped front block with a back extension and stands two storeys high with three windows. The third window is in a projecting gabled wing on the right side. There is a stone plinth and bracketed eaves.
The main range has two tall windows on each floor, all with chamfered stone surrounds. The ground floor windows are protected by a verandah. The gable of the wing includes a stone canted bay window on the ground floor and a window with two round-headed lights above, framed by a stone architrave and cornice supported by consoles. All windows have altered glazing.
On the left gable wall, there is a doorway with a moulded stone architrave and a small cornice on consoles, leading to a panelled door with a three-pane overlight, along with a round-headed window above. The right-hand return wall features a projected gable with a round-headed staircase window that has margin panes. The house is included for its group value.
