Description
Corby House is a pair of houses built around 1840-1850, which have been altered over time. They are constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, with sandstone dressings and a slate roof. The houses have a double-fronted plan with coupled back extensions and are designed in a debased Tudor style.
The structure is two storeys high and features three bays, creating a symmetrical facade that looks like a single dwelling. The central porch, which is Tudor-style, belongs to No. 13 and has a small rectangular oriel window above it. The facade is flanked by gabled bays that project slightly forward, each containing a 2-storey canted bay window. The left bay, associated with No. 14, has sashed windows, while the right bay has altered glazing.
No. 14 has its entrance on the left side, accessed through a single-storey cross-gabled porch with a Tudor-arched doorway. Behind this porch, there is a long back extension that includes two 2-storey canted bay windows among other features.
