CLIVIGER RED LEEDS ROAD (off) Far Side Farmhouse with integral barn

II Farmhouse and integral barn. C18 but with some C17 features. Altered. Coursed sandstone rubble with quoins, stone slate roof. Long rectangular range on approximately north-south axis, house at south end 2 bays, probably double-depth. Two storeys; east side has a chamfered doorway and an altered window both under a long high-set hoodmould, a small window at the left end and at 1st floor 2 C18 2-light flush-mullion windows with sashes and glazing bars; west side has a single-storey porch-cum-kitchen extension, and to the south of this 2 deeply-recessed mullioned windows on each floor, mostly altered, but with some mullions remaining, and formerly of 4 and 3 (or 4) lights at ground floor, with hoodmoulds, 3 and 3 lights above, the first of these unaltered and with a hoodmould. Chimney on ridge at junction of bays. Barn continued to north, altered and extended, interior not inspected, but likely to contain features of interest.
