Description
This building is a workshop and dwelling known as Rose Cottage, located on the east side of the courtyard at Foxstones Farm. It dates from the 18th century and has been altered over time. The structure is made of coursed sandstone rubble with quoins and features a stone slate roof. It is a large rectangular block, with the workshop and store facing the courtyard, while the other side has been modified into two cottages, which are now combined into one dwelling.
The west front has two sliding garage doors, a three-light flush mullion window at the left end, and a plain doorway to the right of the left garage door. On the first floor, there are four irregularly placed three-light flush mullion windows, with the third and fourth windows each missing one mullion. A chimney is located at the left gable. The rear of the building serves as the dwelling and has various altered or inserted openings, but it is of less architectural interest.
