4/19 Former Coach House attached to east side of Great Barn at Gawthorpe Hall

Coach house c.1870, altered, now gallery and shop. Large random rubble, hipped slate roof with corbel table to gutter cornice. Rectangular 2-bay block attached to east wall of Great Barn (q.v.). High single storey, the front mostly pierced by 2 wagon entrances which have moulded depressed 2-centred heads; above and between these a small carved medallion in a moulded diamond recess. Right front corner buttressed; cross window in return wall, 2 similar windows in rear. Interior altered.
