Description

The coach house range to the north of Thorpe Grange Farmhouse is a Grade II listed building dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble with tooled-and-margined dressings and features a graduated stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and consists of seven irregular bays. There is a right-of-centre arcade with three segmental arches, and a 12-pane Yorkshire sash window has been inserted in a blocked doorway to the left. Further to the left, there is an external stone stair leading to a boarded upper door, as well as a boarded door on the ground floor. The windows are variably glazed, and the roof is hipped. This building is included for its group value with the farmhouse. The pent sheds to the north and the single-storey range linking to the farmhouse are not of special interest.
