Description
The boundary stone located at the north end of the copse on the playing field is likely from the early 19th century. As of 1984, it has fallen and is damaged, but it was originally a round-headed slab approximately half a metre high. The upper side is inscribed with the word "Padiham." This stone marks the boundary between Ightenhill civil parish and Simonstone and North Town civil parishes. It was part of a series of boundary stones, along with another nearby stone.
