Description
The gate piers and boundary wall to the courtyard of the former home farm to Gawthorpe Hall, likely built in the 19th century, enclose an irregularly-shaped cobbled yard. The wall stands approximately 3 meters high and is constructed from coursed sandstone blocks with rounded coping. It connects to the west extension of the Great Barn to the north and to the outbuilding of the Estate Office to the south. The square gate piers rise about 4 meters high and are made of rusticated ashlar, featuring moulded caps and ball finials. A Tudor-arched doorway is located about 2 meters west of the gateway.
