Description

No. 7 Sale Lane is a house that is said to date from 1685, although it has later additions. The building is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with English garden wall bond brick additions and features a slate roof. It is a one-bay, gable-fronted house with an addition at the rear and a lean-to porch wing on the right side. The house has two storeys and includes a three-light chamfered stone mullion window with a hoodmould on each floor. The structure features quoins and a round window in the gable. The door is located in the right addition. The rear addition is partly rendered and includes a 20th-century lean-to addition and a gable chimney stack.
