Description
No. 5 Market Street is an early 19th-century house located in Altrincham. It is constructed of brick and has a slate roof. The building features two bays and stands three storeys tall with a double-depth plan. At the base, there is a stone plinth and a dentilled eaves cornice. The doorway is positioned to the right and includes a four-panel door with a decorative overlight, fluted three-quarter columns, and a three-step approach. The windows consist of one on the ground floor and two on the upper floors, all featuring flat brick arches and stone sills, though no glazing bars remain. The house also has a dormer window and a gable stack. It is included in the listing for its group value.
