Description

The Chinese Dovecot, located on an island in the lake at the premises occupied by English Calico Limited, is a structure of uncertain date, likely from the late 19th century. It is supported on an iron pole with wrought iron arabesque brackets that form a tripod. The dovecot has a hexagonal shape and is made of wood, featuring five rows of tear-shaped openings beneath a canted hood. The hood is topped with an iron finial and a ship weathervane.
