Description
The dovecot at Liberton House, located on Liberton Drive in Edinburgh, dates from the late 17th century. It is a large, single chamber structure designed for housing doves, featuring harled walls and decorative ashlar elements, including a moulded rat-course or alighting ledge, an eaves course, and crowstepped gables. The entrance is centrally located, with an oculus above set in a square ashlar surround. The roof is covered with graded grey slates and includes two tiers of flight holes in a cat-slide dormer.
