Description

Old White Cottage is a farmhouse dated 1707, as noted on the lintel of a former outbuilding. The building is two stories high and has three bays, with a two-story, three-bay former outhouse wing attached to the east, which has been incorporated into the house. The exterior features whitewashed rubble with painted ashlar margins around the original openings.

On the southeast elevation, there is a central door with windows on either side at the ground floor. The ground floor windows of the eastern wing have been enlarged. The first floor has six windows that break the eaves, set within swept dormer heads. At the rear, there is a modern wing. The main house has ashlar coped skews and whitewashed corniced stacks, topped with modern red pantiles.
