Description
Woodend is a house with an early 19th-century facade, located on Strines Road in Disley. The building features white-washed and rendered buff sandstone rubble, topped with a Welsh slate roof and two stone chimneys. It is two storeys high with an asymmetrical three-bay front. The windows consist of twelve-pane sashes on the lower level and sixteen-pane sashes above, both types set beneath flat rusticated heads. At the right end, there is a plain stone doorcase with a semi-circular head and a projecting keystone, above which is a fanlight with radial glazing bars. A lower two-storey range to the right has been extensively adapted and modernised in the 20th century and is not included in the listing.
