Description

This is an 18th-century dovecot located in the garden of No. 7 on Upper Helmsley Road in Sand Hutton. It is constructed of brick in an irregular bond and features a plain tile roof, with a lead roof covering the cupola. The dovecot is octagonal in shape and has two storeys. There is a 20th-century board door with a glazed upper panel. It includes a first-floor band and cogged eaves. The roof is topped with a glazed cupola that has a domed design.
