Description
Low Moor Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 17th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of brick and has a roof covered with pantiles and French tiles, along with 20th-century brick stacks. The original layout was a three-cell lobby-entry plan, featuring a rear staircase turret with flanking outshuts. The building has two storeys and four windows on the first floor. A 20th-century porch is located where the original entrance was, flanked by three-light Yorkshire sash windows, with a 20th-century bow window at the extreme left. On the first floor, there are two-light Yorkshire sash windows. There is evidence of extensively altered window openings on both storeys. The eaves have a band, and the roof is swept with three 20th-century dormers. There are end stacks and ridge stacks, and catslide roofs flank the turret at the rear. A 19th-century extension to the right is not of special interest.
