Description

The ice house at Peel Hall Hospital is a mid-19th century structure made of brick. It features a barrel-vaulted brick entrance, although little of this entrance remains. The chamber inside is currently bricked up but is reported to be domed and approximately 4 meters in diameter. The ice house is situated within a significant mound of earth, which has diminished in height due to deterioration.
