Description
This is a house located at 464 Lower Broughton Road, built around 1850 in the Italianate style. The structure is made of coursed and squared rubble and features a Welsh slate roof. It has two storeys with an attic and a three-window range, with a central doorway and an advanced hipped-roofed wing to the right. The round-arched doorway is set within a rusticated ashlar porch that has balustrading on the parapet, supported by console brackets. To the left of the doorway, there is a round-arched window with a stressed panelled architrave and voussoirs. A similar window is found in the advanced wing to the right, which also has a balcony above the first-floor window, featuring an entablature supported by brackets. The attic window has a stressed architrave. There is an end wall stack, and a brick wing is located at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
