Description
This house, located at 455 Lower Broughton Road in Salford, dates from around 1840. It is constructed of stucco over brick and features a Welsh slate roof. The building is part of a terrace with Nos 457 and 459. It is slightly set back from the road, with a narrow street frontage and a long wing extending to the rear. The house is two stories high and has a single-window range. An advanced porch features a central six-panelled door, which is flanked by round-arched sidelights and topped with a high glazed gable. The upper storey has a wide tripartite sash window, with moulded panels in the mullions. There is a moulded wood eaves cornice and an end wall stack. The interior has not been inspected.
